The other night while watching the News Hour on PBS they interviewed Charles Taylor, a philosopher who won the 2007 Templeton Award. Here is a link to an interview on his views regarding spirituality in the 21st Century:
Later that night, while watching Jon Stewart on The Daily Show (on Comedy Central), he interviewed the author of a book titled "Religious Literacy" Stephen Prothero.
What struck me about these two shows is how spirituality is making it's way into the mainstream. Here we have a serious newscast and a very popular, sometimes crass and irreverent comedy "news" show, spending time on spiritual issues. Is a spiritual movement taking shape? Interesting stuff.
